Nakayama Toge Ski Resort

Nakayama Toge Ski Resort is a compact ski area located at the Nakayama Pass (835 meters elevation) on Route 230 between Sapporo and Niseko. With 6 courses and 2 lifts, it offers a simple, no-frills skiing experience that is particularly valued for its early opening in November and late closing well into spring. The high base elevation of 700 meters ensures consistent snow conditions.

The pass location receives heavy snowfall averaging 9 meters per season, and the resort is often the first in the Sapporo area to open each winter. Nakayama Toge is a popular pit stop for drivers traveling between Sapporo and Niseko, and its affordable prices and casual atmosphere make it ideal for a quick ski session. The famous Nakayama Pass rest area, known for its deep-fried potato croquettes, is adjacent to the resort.
