Rusutsu Resort

Rusutsu Resort is one of Hokkaido's largest and most impressive ski destinations, spanning three interconnected mountains: Mount Isola, East Mountain, and West Mountain. With 37 courses and 18 lifts including a high-speed gondola, the resort offers an enormous variety of terrain from gentle beginner slopes to challenging steeps and some of the best tree skiing in Japan. The resort complex features two large hotels, multiple restaurants, and an indoor amusement park.

Blessed with Hokkaido's legendary light, dry powder snow averaging 13 meters per season, Rusutsu is a paradise for powder seekers. The resort's side-country and tree runs through pristine birch forests are among the finest in Hokkaido. Despite its size, Rusutsu sees fewer international visitors than Niseko, meaning shorter lift lines and more untracked powder. The resort also operates night skiing on several courses.
